Theatre Seminar "Ito Juku" vol.06: Music for the eyes, theater for the ears
Masaji Ito, Representative Director Message
We humans always live using our five senses.
Sometimes we even use our sixth sense.
We can't just listen to a concert or watch a play.
If we appeal to all of the senses more and more, we can make live performances even more appealing.
Visual images are essential for concerts in arenas and domes, and
cinema concerts, where a movie and a live performance can be enjoyed at the same time, have also taken root.
Musicals have begun to introduce systems that allow the sound image to move with the movements of the actors.
If we also stimulate the senses of smell, taste, and touch, something even more dramatic is sure to result.
The sixth installment is "Music with the eyes, theater with the ears.
We welcome Mr. Yasuhisa Toyoda to verify if my imagination is not running wild.
