Theatre Workshop has invited guests to each of its theater seminars.
This year, we will hold "Ito Juku", in which our representative, Masaji Ito, will serve as a lecturer.
Masaji Ito, president of Theatre Workshop, who has been involved in theater and theater for 50 years since he started researching theater architecture, will focus on a specific theme for each session and discuss the results of research and practice on that theme with all participants
. The workshop will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from April 1 to March 31, 2011.
Ito-juku to be held in Kansai for the first time!
Masaji Ito, Representative Director Message
One of my ideal theaters is a theater complex.
It is a small theater version of a multiplex.
I want the theater to be not only a place for performances, but also a place for the creation of works.
Every day, the company members gather in the morning to rehearse, set up the equipment, and
little by little, complete the work.
With a cluster of theaters, several theater companies can work in the same place at the same time,
stimulating each other and creating a variety of interactions.
Another great pleasure for theater fans is to take a peek into the creative scene.
TheatreCon, a dream come true in Osaka.
That is the Ogimachi Museum Cube.
The ten spaces named "Cube" are used as theaters, movie theaters,
exhibition rooms, rehearsal halls, and more.
This year's event will include a tour of the facility.
Please enjoy yourself!
