Taking on the challenge of creating "a hall like never before

We now operate and manage more than 16 theaters, halls, and event spaces throughout Japan, starting with Hikarie Hall on the 9th floor and Hikarie Conference on the 11th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, a leading project in the Shibuya Station Area Redevelopment Project. Its mission is to maximize the use of the two halls, Hall A (1,000 m2) and Hall B (300 m2), and the conference room consisting of four meeting rooms. The reason we have been entrusted with the management of the rental space, which is located in one of the world's most prestigious downtown areas, is because of our many years of experience in theater and hall design and consulting, as well as the management and operation plan we developed after participating in the Hikarie Hall Conference from the consulting stage. Therefore, the management staff has been working hard every day to live up to the expectations by mobilizing all of their abilities.

At the time, I was chosen to be the general manager because of my vitality and willingness to work energetically on new projects without being bound by conventional ideas. As a student of Mr. Ito, I worked for a video production company and was involved in a variety of media and events, and later worked on urban development projects. I was attracted to the concept of creating "a hall like never before," and joined Theatre Workshop in the summer of 2011 when it was the Hikarie Hall Conference Preparation Office, establishing the field of facility management as a department.
The flexibility and diversity of the organization is evident not only in me but also in the richness of the members' personalities. The manager is a former hotelier, as we aim to provide the same level of service as a hotel, and the junior member of the high school drama club I brought in is a skilled "seller" with a track record as a top salesperson at a major electronics retailer.

Pioneering Theater and Hall Business

Shibuya Hikarie has a musical theater called Tokyu Theatre Orb on the 11th to 16th floors, and offices on the 17th to 34th floors. The lower floors are a large vertically stacked complex of stores selling goods and restaurants. A variety of events are held daily in various spaces throughout the building, each involving loading and unloading, and the flow of people and goods up and down the floors is limited, making it difficult to carry them out without a hitch.

Hikarie Hall is also easy to use because of its flat floor, which allows for a wide variety of events to be held. Fashion shows and club events have been held here, while rakugo (comic storytelling) performances, shareholder meetings, and symposiums have also been held here. We do everything we can to accommodate the needs of the organizers so that they can use our facilities as freely as possible. On the other hand, after any event, we must promptly return the facility to its pre-event condition for the next users.

Our track record of continuously addressing these challenges has led to the expansion of our facilities management division's business. The second property was the management and operation of "Futakotamagawa Rise Studio & Hall" in Futakotamagawa. From here, we have further expanded our track record nationwide year after year, from Asty Hall in Sapporo in the north to Laika Nankoku Hall in Kagoshima in the south.

I believe that Theatre Workshop is a company full of potential and should be a general trading company that handles everything related to theaters and halls. Since we are able to participate in the planning stage, which involves a large budget, I believe that we are able to develop a variety of businesses by utilizing our accumulated know-how and network. We are a company that started from an unprecedented place, and we are now building a track record in the event business, including the provision of content and packaged planning. We would like to continue to take on new challenges in the future.
