We planned and conducted awalking and calligraphyevent atYCC Yoyogihachiman Community Center.
The walking course offered a combination of lecture and hands-on experience on how to walk beautifully and correctly, which improves posture and mental and physical health.
First, participants learned basic walking techniques in the studio at the YCC Yoyogihachiman Community Center, and then moved to Yoyogi Park to practice walking in the correct walking style.
In the calligraphy class, provided participants with the experience of creating Christmas and New Year's holiday message cards in calligraphy.
After a lecture on the history of calligraphy and a detailed practice of basic writing techniques, participants learned how to express themselves in a message card and created a card of their choice.
The event was wellsuited to the fall season and the local area, andwas well attended bymany people from the community.
