Theatre Workshop has invited guests to each of its theater seminars.
This year, we will hold "Ito Juku", in which our representative, Masaji Ito, will serve as a lecturer.
Masaji Ito, president of Theatre Workshop, who has been involved in theater and theater for 50 years since he started researching theater architecture, will focus on a specific theme for each session and discuss the results of research and practice on that theme with all participants.
The workshop will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from April 1 to March 31, 2011.
Masaji Ito, Representative Director Message
The common wish and goal of humanity is to create a world where no one is left behind.
Art is a communication tool that can replace language, and performing arts in particular can create empathy and mutual understanding through the process of creating together.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, live viewings have attracted attention as a way to continue performing arts activities, and thanks to the development of ultra-high-definition filming and communication technology, it is now possible to enjoy live performances on home televisions and personal digital devices.
The realisation of a ‘world theatre’ where performances from around the world can be viewed anywhere is no longer a dream.
If this is the case, then the opposite of this, a ‘one-person theatre’, could become a luxurious theatre where you can enjoy the appeal of performing arts all to yourself!
