Theatre Seminar "Ito Juku" vol. 02: Raito for a Non-purpose Hall
.Theatre Workshop has been holding theater seminars with invited guests each time.
This year, we will hold "Ito Juku", in which our representative, Masaji Ito, will serve as a lecturer.
Masaji Ito, president of Theatre Workshop, who has been involved in theater and theater for 50 years since he started researching theater architecture, will focus on a theme for each session and discuss it with all participants based on research and practical results for each theme to construct a model for 2030. The workshop will be held in the year 2030.
Vol. 02 will be titled "In Praise of Non-Purpose Halls" and will discuss multipurpose halls.
Early public halls have been derided as "multipurpose is purposeless". Let us consider its merits and demerits once again.
The trend from multipurpose halls to dedicated theaters became mainstream, and the movement toward super-purpose halls expanded the realm of halls.
Next comes the era of the "multipurpose hall"!
Masaji Ito, Representative Director Message
Ito Juku has started.
In Vol. 01, I gave an overview of the purpose of the course and the target 2030 model.
More people than expected showed interest in the course and participated not only on-site but also online from all over Japan.
We are very grateful to all of you. Thank you very much.
In retrospect, we have always been a team, thinking and doing things together.
From Vol. 02, we will narrow down the themes, and based on the research and practical results for each theme, we will discuss and build the 2030 model with all participants.
In order to make it more attractive and feasible, it is important to gather, create, and nurture our strengths.
We look forward to your participation!
Masamichi Ito, President of Theater Workshop
