Vol.02 The Future of Theatre Architecture

- Transformations and cutting-edge examples from the 21st century onwards.

Tetsuya Kobayashi of our Business Development Department served as moderator for Vol. 02, which featured architect Seisho Furuya and architectural historian Shunsuke Kurakata as guests.

Theater architecture is often thought of as a complex field with many rules and regulations and little freedom, but since the 21st century, it has become more diverse and varied.
Architectural historian Mr. Kurakata deciphered the source of the ideas behind many of the unique theaters designed by Mr. Furuya, which radiate originality within this field, and explored the possibilities of future architecture from a multifaceted viewpoint.

Thanks to the deregulation of infectious disease control at the time of the event, the architects who worked with us to create the theater were also able to attend the event, and we had the opportunity to interact with them after the online seminar.
