Theatre Workshop is pleased to present "Theatre Architecture Seminar," a new series of seminars on the future of the theatre.
The first seminar, Vol. 01, will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at P.O. Minami Aoyama Hall, and will feature Hisao Kayama, Chairman of Kayama Architectural Institute, and Yoshihisa Hasegawa, President and Representative Director, who will talk about their past theatre architectural designs.
Each seminar will feature a guest architect with a wealth of experience in theatre design, who will talk about his or her thoughts on theatre design and the key points of design. The seminar series will also provide participants with an opportunity to learn about the state of contemporary theatre architecture in Japan, and to consider together what role these facilities should play and what they should accomplish.
