Flamenco Night: Jin Oki Guitar Concert and Workshop at Seishin Chuo Hall

In pursuit of "living flamenco", Oki Hitoshi gives an outstanding performance!

 

Japan's leading flamenco guitarist, Jin Oki, will appear at the Seishin Chuo Hall with singer Takamitsu Ishizuka and dancer Shiro Ijuin, also top flamenco artists!

Oki himself will give a rare flamenco guitar workshop on the same day.

Hito Oki
He played shakuhachi, piano, bass, and drums before discovering the guitar. He studied flamenco guitar under Oka Hirosa, Ito Hideo, and Serranito. Spent his twenties in Japan and Spain. In 2006, he made his major debut and became the first Japanese to win the International Flamenco Guitar Competition in Spain in 2010. She appeared on TBS's "Jounetsu Tairiku" (Continent of Passion), which closely followed her performance. Since then, she has been active in many fields, including publishing flamenco guitar instructional books and providing single songs to EXILE. His stage activities include solo performances, collaborations with top artists in various genres, and joint performances with orchestras, ballet, nagauta, and Noh.

Takamitsu Ishizuka
is a student of vocal music.

Takamitsu Ishizuka was introduced to cante (singing) while a student in the vocal performance department, where he also trained on the flamenco guitar. In 1997, after teaching himself, he received the Japan Flamenco Society's Newcomer Performance Encouragement Award. The following year, in 1998, he lived in Spain for a total of eight years before returning to Japan in 2006." He has been called "one of Japan's leading flamenco cantaors," and his activities go beyond the flamenco world to include collaborations with leading musicians in other genres such as classical, jazz, Latin, and tango, as well as stage music supervision, composition, and arrangement, and various television appearances. His repertoire ranges from traditional songs, Latin songs, and Japanese songs, and he has released three original albums to date.

Shiro Ijuin
Awarded the Encouragement Prize at the 2001 Japan Flamenco Association Newcomer Performance, formed "Cuatro Camino" in 2002, toured the country seven times, performed in the Spanish Pavilion at Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan, and performed in Maria Pagès "Sevilla" in 2006. In 2007, he joined "SUMA FLAMENCA" in Madrid, and in 2014 he began performing with the unit "Harp Jazz".
He performs at theaters all over Japan, and actively teaches younger musicians. He has recorded on albums by artists such as Hitoshi Oki, Tetsuro Oda, Masahiko Kondo, Fried Pride, and Junko Makiyama.
