His hobby is listening to Rakugo.
He is a storyteller who has succeeded at an unusually rapid pace to a number of "serials," such as the 17 complete works of Miyamoto Musashi, 19 complete works of Keian Taiheiki, 12 complete works of Murai Choan, 10 complete works of Tenmei Hakunan Den, Tenpo Suikoden, Kurokura Shigeshiro, etc., as well as numerous "side stories" that are called "tanmono" (stories that are read at the same time).
He has performed more than 200 stories in the past 15 years, and tickets for his solo performances sell out on the same day.
He is at the forefront of the popularization of kodan.
Artistic Career
In November 2007, he was introduced to Kanda Matsu Koi III and became "Matsunojo"
In June 2012, he was promoted to the second stage
In February 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Sho-dachi and assumed the name Kanda Hakusan VI
